Do Something
While reading more of my brilliant book I came across a chapter title "Outdoors" immediately interested I began to read. Uta Hagen discusses in this chapter the need to be in touch with your surrounding. She talked more about sensory memories and she suggested to those who were reading to go outside and have a picnic, just sit and enjoy just that. So I decide to have my yummy lunch on my patio, after walking through a spider web and practically being eaten alive I was able to enjoy the breeze and the outdoors. Then my dog started barking which triggered the other dogs in the neighborhood and I decided the next time I decide to eat outside I will go to the park where my pesky dog cannot ruin everything. But while I was sitting there I remembered her saying to appreciate everything and sit with your eyes closed and just think of your surroundings. So I closed my eyes, laid my head back in the big armchair, and felt the soft breeze on my face and that occasionally blew my hair back. I felt the warm floor of patio tile against my bare feet, the sound of the wind chimes making soft music, the creak of the swings as the wind softly pushed them back and forth. Even now repeating this I feel myself relaxing and I am beginning to unwind for a peaceful nights sleep. Thanks Uta for having me appreciate my planet :)
